Welcome to the Edith Stein Society
The Edith Stein Society, Germany (Edith-Stein-Gesellschaft Deutschland e.V.) is an organization which aims to deepen the memory of Edith Stein, as well as to develop and foster her philosophical and religious legacy. The Society would like to make the rich, spiritual work of Edith Stein known to a wider audience in all of its facets: as a daughter of the Jewish people, as a philosopher, as a Carmelite. With the awareness that Edith Stein´s life was closely connected to the tragic, historical events of her time, the Society seeks to dedicate itself to international understanding and to realizing the vision of a united, just Europe where human rights, as well as religious, political and economic differences, are recognized and respected, regardless of existing borders.
The Society places particular emphasis on deepening and expanding the Christian-Jewish and the German-Polish dialogues.
